Flying Suit
This pilot’s uniform belonged to a Sub-Lieutenant in the Fleet Air Arm and dates from the 1950s. The Fleet Air Arm is the branch of the Royal Navy responsible for the operation of aircraft on board their ships. This uniform was the first real attempt at providing aircrew with comprehensive protection.
