Marjorie Spence comments on the attitude of male stewards towards Wrens.
Transcript: 'Marjorie: Some were friendly and some were a little bit high and mighty. I think they resented the WRNS some of them really, unless of course they would have liked their wives to have been there perhaps.
Interviewer: You were saying that you think some of them might have resented the WRNS. These were the old, old Navy people.
Marjorie: Give you that opinion that we were taking over some of their work. They had that feeling, if you know what I mean, that they didn’t exactly resent us but showing off I should put it like that.'
