45 rpm Record Sleeves
The sleeves of two 45 rpm records. They originally contained recordings made by Joseph Marshall with a message to his family. They were sent home on 6th May 1944. Marshall served as a Radar Operator on HMS Saker. He recorded the message whilst stationed in Boston in America during a refit in 1944. Many American service personnel created such recordings during World War Two, often at the recreation centres set up by Pepsi Cola for the services.
