Letter to General Cartwright-Taylor from Richard Bavin, page 1.
Letter addressing misleading press reports on the activities of 42 Commando in Brunei. Includes an account of the action at Limbang where the commando were tasked with the rescue of British hostages including the British Resident and his wife on 12th December. Between December 1962 and September 1966 there was always at least one commando unit stationed there tasked in counter-insurgency duties.
