The band, the 'Oceanaires' are a dance band formation from the adult contingent of the Royal Naval School of Music, Burford. Bands from the School did a lot of work to keep civilian morale high as well as the military's. Formed during the Second World War, The Oceanaires also went out to entertain in factories such as Ford's Dagenham plant.
